Videogrunt episode 4 released

VideogruntCraig Syverson does a wonderful job explaining pan and scan in this episode. Using a clip from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, Craig demonstrates how a movie shot with a 2.35 aspect ratio can fit in the standard 1.33 (4x3) aspect ratio of our televisions. Pan and scanning might not be the best option for every film because it can cut out important elements from a frame and really alter the way we perceive the film.
